Will 25 MB's be enough?
Most (97%) Web Sites require less than 5 MB! Why pay for storage you will never need. Other services offer huge amounts of space at higher costs because they know their clients will never use that much storage. AND they include the storage of your access log file in the quota. Your logs are not counted in your space with Domain packages This log file can easily surpass the storage needed for your entire web site in just a few months.
Also remember, you DON'T want large files on your Web Site because such files will take forever for your visitors to download. A typically long Web Page is only 10K. This means you can store 2500 web pages on your 25 MB site. An average logo for the top of a homepage is 15K. This means you can store 1665 logos on your 25 MB site. Finally, an average icon/button is 4k. This means you can store 7250 such icons/buttons on your 25 MB web site. Now you decide - just how many pages/logos/buttons do you need? If you keep your site well maintained, and remove outdated files and materials, you will probably never need more than 25 MB's.
You will have to pay $35 per year (two years in advance) directly to InterNIC in order to use your own domain name (i.e., www.your_name.com). You may also choose a domain name such as yourname.communities-net.com to avoid InterNIC charges. There is no charge for these domain names because Pilot Presents has already paid the fees for communities-net.com
You won't find providers on the Internet that offer all of the features found at Pilot Presents for the same low price. If you do - let us know!
We are only set up to accept checks or money orders at this time. We hope to be able to accept Visa and Mastercard in the near future. In order to provide our services at low prices, we require quarterly contracts prepaid in full.
No, you will need local internet access in order to maintain your Web Site. Or we can design and maintain your site for you. Our multiple T1 lines are devoted exclusively to delivering your web pages quickly.
While we have offered this in the past, we are not offering this on a normal basis at this time. We will help in the design in some instances, and take these jobs on a case by case basis.
We offer unlimited access for updates. Unlike other Presence Providers, we allow updates via Telnet as well as FTP. We also offer a full range of E-mail and CGI scripting features.

Not at this time. We can handle the transfer process in many cases from your registrant of choice to our name server so that your domain name points to the correct IP address.
Registration fees come in a large range for domain names. A quick search on domain registration will return many low prices and terms.
Yes. When completing the order, be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer and NOT a new domain.
We recommend that you add your Web Site to the various search engines using SubmitIt.COM . All site's designed by Pilot Presents Web Design are automatically registered with the top 7 search engines.
Files must be transferred to the web server via File Transport Protocol (FTP). If you have a PPP internet account and need FTP software. You can get copies of these programs at Softseek or Shareware.COM. Internet providers such as AOL, Compuserve, and Prodigy may have a built-in FTP interface. You may also access your account via an SSH secure Telnet interface.
You have unlimited access via FTP, SSH or MS Frontpage 24-hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your Web Site at your leisure.
In general, if you have more than one domain account at Pilot Presents we can point each domain address to the same HTML files. There is an additional monthly fee for each domain.

No. We are not accepting reseller accounts at this time.
Because we have no way to prevent minors from accessing your site, you may not use our servers to publish obscene material or provide a list of links to such material. You may not use your account for mass mailings (SPAM) or types of activities which violate generally accepted Internet guidelines. Customers also may not use excessive amounts of CPU processing time.
We are happy to assist new customers in setting up their web sites. We encourage our customers to send E-Mail to with questions or concerns about their Web Site. We are relatively quick to respond to support E-Mail up to about 12pm ET.
Using our order form , you can apply for your account immediately. There are two steps involved. First, we ask that you carefully review our contract. Please pay close attention to our rules and restrictions. If you are willing to agree to our terms, then it is just a matter of deciding which account is best for you and completing the order form.
Orders which include payment information will usually be processed the same day and ready for use within 24 hours! Once an account is set up an activation notice will be sent you via E-Mail.
